What are the Principle Beliefs of Anglicanism?
The main principle belief of Anglicanism is a combination of Catholic beliefs and Protestant belief. The Anglican faith has a diverse religious system from other Anglican churches around the world. For example:
- The head of the Anglican Church is that the Monarch of England. Although they respect the Pope, head of the Roman Catholic Church, as a Christian leader but not as their Anglican leader.
- Anglicans believe the Baptism and the Eucharist are the central sacraments within the Church.
- The English Book of Common Prayer, Thirty-Nine Articles and the English Bible are the central practices of the Anglican beliefs and worship.
- The presence and the influences of the Holy Spirit as a guidance to the practices and beliefs
- They consider themselves as a separate reformed Church from the Catholic Church of Rome.
- Women and even married individuals can be ordained into priesthood as others do not.
